Student support

West Highland College UHI Broadford is a small and friendly college centre where a warm welcome is extended to all. You will be supported throughout your studies by experienced and qualified staff and you will benefit from the personal support that makes West Highland College UHI so unique.

Our centre is conveniently located in the village of Broadford within walking distance of local amenities including the supermarket, post office, pharmacy and hospital as well as a number of restaurants and shops. The college plays an active role in the local community and we enjoy good links with community groups and organisations including the Broadford & Strath Community Company.

We attract a diverse mix of students from the local area and beyond and we promote excellence for all. If you are coming to study with us from outwith the Skye & Lochalsh area we can provide a list of local accommodation providers for you to contact. Please contact us for further information.

Along with the support that you will receive from local centre staff, our Student Services team which is spread across the college network, can offer advice and guidance on a wide range of matters such as funding, study support, career coaching and making use of library resources.

If you have a disability or learning difficulty of any kind, the Extended Learning Support team can provide additional support, assistive technology and/or assistive materials as well as confidential guidance.
