Lucia Petrovicova.jpgPetrovicova has just completed the NC Administration course and is progressing to study the HNC Business course in September. Lucia is a class representative and is the new West Highland College’s Student Depute President of the Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA).

Lucia is from Slovakia and as English is not her first language she understand a wide range of issues students may face during their studies.  She moved to Fort William 8 years ago and fell in love with this beautiful part of the world.  Lucia comes to the college with 15 years of experience in Hospitality and Tourism industry and she loves working and meeting new people from all around the world.  Her career aim for after she has completed her studies is to have her own business in Hospitality, ideally she would like to have her own Bed and Breakfast.

She has really enjoyed her first year in West Highland College UHI, and believes through her course subjects and the challenges of studying in a second language she learns something new every day.  This has developed her skills and grown her confidence, she want to continue this by being more involved with students and lecturers and offer other students her support in her HISA role.
