A work based Modern Apprenticeship (MA) is made up of a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in your chosen subject area and a number of small enhancements and Core Skills to make it a more rounded qualification. Working towards your SVQ happens in your current place of work. Allow anywhere between 12 and 24 months to complete.
You are required to be in relevant full time employment or you may be a volunteer in a relevant sector for some of the time. It is possible to complete a stand-alone SVQ rather than a MA. This depends on any funding you may receive for your course.
Currently we deliver:
- Business & Administration
- Social Services and Health Care
- Food & Beverage Service
- Front of House Reception
- Professional Cookery
- Hospitality Services
- Management and Leadership
Depending on the current level of your skills and employment, you may be able to complete a level 2 (SCQF 5) or level 3 (SCQF 6/7). There may be the opportunity to progress onto higher levels on successful completion of your course. We receive funding from Skills Development Scotland to help you cover the cost of a Modern Apprenticeship.
