Make-up Skills NPA
What is special about this course?
Brand new NPA in Make Up Skills launching in Portree – evening delivery for the first time!
The main objectives of the qualification is to develop understanding and basic skills in the areas of Make-Up Skills. The qualification structure has been devised so that candidates will receive a broad education in Make-Up Skills. The emphasis of the award is to develop basic skills with the focus on practical activities which will be carried out in a realistic work environment. Some self study is required.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How will I study my course?
- Part Time
How long will my course last?
Monday evenings, 6-9pm with some self study/practice expected at home each week.
Where can I study my course?
Some of our courses require students to have essential equipment/clothing.
If you are 18 and over and are eligible for a bursary, these costs will be met through your bursary. If you are not eligible for a bursary, you will need to fund these items yourself.
If you are under 18, you are entitled to have essential equipment paid for whether you are entitled to EMA or not. However you must apply for EMA even if you know that you’re not entitled to EMA.

What can I do on completion of my course?
Progression from this could be to our full time NC Beauty Care available at West Highland College UHI. It is also possible to progress to an SVQ in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy available within UHI.
