What is special about this course?
This course could be for you if you have a real interest in cooking and want to spend some of your leisure time learning more, if you are considering cooking as a career or if you already work in a professional kitchen and want to gain a formal qualification and expand your skills.
Professional Cookery qualification at either 4 or 5. Previous relevant industry experience and a keen interest in cooking and developing skills.

How will I study my course?
- Part Time
1 day practical each week with a small amount of written work to complete.
How long will my course last?
1 day practical each week for 17 weeks with a small amount of written work to complete.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through on going observations, practical activities and Open Book assessments.

You could consider progressing to:
- Professional Cookery NC Level 6
- Hospitality NC Level 6
- Professional Cookery SVQ 3
- Professional Cookery SVQ (Patisserie and Confectionery)
Or gain employment in any suitable roles within a kitchen environment suited to the level of experience and knowledge gained by the learner.
