What is special about this course?
This course provides an unique opportunity to get a hands on experience with a professional radio station which creates live content broadcast across Lochaber. The tutor of this course is a professional radio presenter who is still currently broadcasting live. This gives you a unique opportunity to learn from an industry professional.
As well as learning about radio broadcasting you will get an introduction to DJing using professional DJ decks and equipment to create mixes and new music.
Throughout the course you will learn how to prepare and broadcast a live radio show. You will also get an introduction to DJing using professional DJ equipment.

Equipment will be provided by tutor.

One lesson a week, face to face in Lochaber High School.

Students will be assessed at appropriate times throughout the course.

What can I do on completion of my course?
This introductory course leads into NC creative industries: DJing and can lead into our HNC music and HND music programs.
Students can look towards a career in the media after completing this course and it will provide a steppingstone towards radio and television careers.
