What is special about this course?
The course is special and is different from normal college courses. You'll study from your workplace to gain an SCQF Level 6 qualification. There is no day release because our assessors visit you at work instead.
Candidates should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities, which allow then to gather the required evidence. No prior qualifications are required to undertake this qualification, although experience or relevant qualifications in Freight Logistics would be an advantage.
Progress your career and open up promotion possibilities.These are suitable for a wide range of large and small retail organisations, for example Fish Farms and Logistics Companies.
Entry requirements
Candidates should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities, which allow then to gather the required evidence. No prior qualifications are required to undertake this qualification, although experience or relevant qualifications in Freight Logistics would be an advantage, eg SVQ at SCQF level 5.
The mandatory units in this qualification cover the relevant areas of importance within this industry such as monitoring the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods and responding to problems in logistics operations.
The optional units provide scope to specialise in areas such as managing costs and resources, processing orders and applying the use of technology in logistics operations.
You will study 4 mandatory units and 4 optional units. Your Assessor will help you select the range of units that suit your role/career goals best.
