College plays vital role in connecting rural communities
Fiona Grant, our Director of Academic Affairs, spoke to STV News last week as part of a report on young people's concerns about connectivity across the region.
“People definitely want to stay here – work here, learn here,” she told reporter Nicola McAlley while talking about connectivity and learning.
The report focuses on ‘The Island Initiative’ - a group created by young adults on Skye to highlight their concerns around what they see as key election issues such as housing, employment, culture and connectivity.
You can read more here about the group and how West Highland College UHI is enabling students in rural communities to connect with opportunities worldwide.
