SCQF levels explained

On successful completion of your course you will be awarded a recognised qualification from SQA at a level equivalent to National 4 through to Advanced Higher, Higher National Certificate or the first year of university.

The Foundation Apprenticeships available through UHI West Highland are recognised as being equivalent to 2 SQA Highers and they are a great addition to your CV if you choose to go onto further study.

All of our course awards sit within the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework, which compares the full range of Scottish qualifications and shows how qualifications relate to each other and to other forms of learning. The framework is a very useful resource when thinking about moving on to other courses or training and achieving all you want to do.
