West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit a Lecturer in Rural Skills, to undertake teaching, learning, programme development and other duties on a team basis.
The suitable candidate must be qualified to a minimum of SCQF Level 6 and will ideally hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), whilst being competent and experienced within a range of subject areas, including:
- Woodland skills
- Practical Estate work such as footpaths and fencing (supported by an instructor)
- Tools and power tools
- Working with timber
- Polytunnel building
- Woodwork skills
- Knowledge of working with livestock (desirable)
The ideal candidate will also have relevant experience in encouraging learning, inspiring others, and sharing knowledge and skills.
