Robert Mattinson studied our NC Shipping and Maritime Operations and after completing his course in 2019 he was successful in applying for a cadetship in Glasgow. He is currently working on a North Sea pipeline boat with a Norwegian company.
“My main aim in coming to Mallaig was to get a qualification which would help me to get a cadetship. I was also able to pick up three parts of the STCW ticket: PST, PSR and First Aid. I did Day Skipper too. All of these were great for my CV when I finished. I upped my practical skills and filled the gaps in my theoretical knowledge. I had a good time in Mallaig and we worked hard."
