I have been a professional outdoor practitioner for over 30 years. I have worked as a feelance instructor, national centre instructor, international kayak and mountaineering guide, national mountaineering trainer and assessor, British Cycling coach, RYA Instructor and University/college lecturer.

I have led expeditions to every continent and have spent time living and working in France, Tanzania, New Zealand and Antarctica.

I have trained and assessed all the Mountain Training qualifications including MIC and IML whilst working as a full time instructor at Glenmore Lodge and Plas y Brenin. I also helped develop the sea kayak department at Glenmore Lodge by guiding several Shetland and Greenland Expeditions.
